where it started
Sarah Kate London Luxe was born from my childhood dream of becoming a fashion designer. It’s the culmination of 10 years’ experience as a London-based fashion stylist and seven years as a family photographer, capturing all the heartfelt, magical moments of motherhood.
Having photographed so many beautiful mamas, both expectant and postpartum, I’ve long been on the lookout for pieces I knew would tick all the boxes for my mums: floor length for maximum impact, delicate arm coverage, a flattering neckline, an empire fit that’s flattering for all bodies, whether that’s maternity or postpartum. There is so much to consider, and all of it matters when it comes to ensuring your client feels their best in front of the camera.
My first capsule collection comprises of two quite different gowns: Ophelia, with a nod to the timeless boho look, and Kiki, with modern, flowing frills. These pieces were eight months in the making, starting life as a conversation over brunch and ending up brought to life in a styled shoot. Having worked with bridal wear industry leader, Bibiluxe, on past campaigns, I knew the founder, Barbara, would be the perfect partnership to help me finally bring that childhood dream to life.
What’s important to know is that each gown is made to order and nothing is mass produced in a factory. Each piece is lovingly stitched in the UK, supporting local seamstresses. It’s the ultimate slow-fashion investment piece that elevates your client wardrobe, and more importantly, will elevate their client experience with you.
